Hi!
I’m Nat!
If you are anything like me you always go to the ‘about’ section when visiting an artist’s website.
I feel less like a visual artist making a body of work, and more like a visual facilitator for my community.
I love immersing myself in other peoples visions, and bringing them to life.
I was at art school for 7 years including a year at Oxford doing fun stuff like classical architecture and classical music history.
I have been involved with dynamic non-profit arts organisations, local government and commercial art galleries my whole life (at 15 I was the Arts and Culture counsellor for the City of Rockingham council).
Always working in hospitality including running my own Bed & Breakfast in Tylden, I spent years in local bars and nightclubs, heavily involved in putting on gigs and events & then opened my own bar in Northbridge, Perth in 2009 that had 8 chalkboards needing daily changes.
This is how it started!
I got good, very quickly!
After relocating to country Victoria in 2013 I have been passionate about my Macedon Ranges community.
I’m on the Tylden Hall committee, producing various events and gigs (Tylden Cronies), and spend time volunteering at both our school and kinder.
PLUS I have 3 human children, 20 chickens, 4 sheep, 1 horse, 1 dog, 2 cats, 4 guinea pigs, 4 fish, and the occasional spiny leaf insect.
I also have a full vegetable garden on 3 acres that allows me to have the cutest roadside stall, often with home made cordials, preserves and hand illustrated seed packets and more.
I enjoy the social aspect of my trade.
I find that more clarity and understanding, and a successful end result, comes from a good chat and time spent with my clients.
